Where projects require the advantages of low energy/long life LEDs packaged in standard downlight products for plasterboard ceilings and ceiling tiles the LDE3 range is the ideal choice.
The LDE3 downlights (silver or white thermally conductive plastic) are installed using spring clips into a 45mm diameter cut-out.
The LDE3 range offers 4 distribution types.
LDE3/HL (HIGH LEVEL-HL)
The LDE3/HL downlight offers a narrow angle beam ideal for illumination of escapes and open areas from very high mounting heights e.g. above 5m. At 700mA the LDE3/HL can provide
illuminance of 10.76Lux from a mounting height of 11m (typical requirement for areas having to meet USA 1foot candle level).
LDE3/105 (MEDIUM BEAM)
The LDE3/105 downlight offers a Medium beam (105 degree) lens configuration ideal for illumination of open areas with mounting heights of typically 5 to 10m.
LDE3/WIDE (WIDE BEAM)
The LDE3/WIDE downlight offers a Wide beam (160 degree) lens configuration ideal for illumination of open areas with mounting heights of typically 2 to 5m.
LDE3/C (‘CORRIDOR’ BEAM)
The LDE3/C downlight offers a dissymmetric lens providing a narrow beam across the width of a corridor and extremely wide (batwing) distribution along the length of the corridor.
For emergency lighting applications (including SelfTest /DALI projects) all LDE3 downlights offer a /D version which incorporates a 1mm green/red bi-colour indicator. The LDE3 downlights may be powered from constant current drivers at 350mA, 500mA or 700mA in emergency mode as required to produce the desired lumen output to suit the application. The highest effciency is acheived at 350mA (typically 135lm/W).
